Some Ultimate Vocab

Ultimate Frisbee can sound way more complicated then it actually is to play. This is because there are a bunch of terms that are used for actions taken place while playing. Words like "mark", "breakside", and "bid" all represent an action that an Ultimate Frisbee player can do while on the field. A mark represents the positioning of the defensive player who is guarding the opponent with the frisbee in his hand. Breakside is the side of the field that the mark has his/hers back to. A bid is when a player dives for a frisbee attempting to catch it or defend it away.
There are plenty of other terms that are used as "Ultimate language" that you will here on the field. Ultimate Frisbee HQ has a great collection of Ultimate vocab on there website linked above.
