This is because there are a bunch of terms that are used for actions taken place while playing. Words like "mark", "breakside", and "bid" all represent an action that an Ultimate Frisbee player can do while on the field. A mark represents the positioning of the defensive player who is guarding the opponent with the frisbee in his hand. Breakside is the side of the field that the mark has his/hers back to. A bid is when a player dives for a frisbee attempting to catch it or defend it away. There are plenty of other terms that are used as "Ultimate language" that you will here on the field. Your Basic Throws with Brodie Smith How to Throw a Forehand To be able to play Ultimate Frisbee, there are basically only three things you should be able to do; run, catch and throw. Two of those, running and catching, are not really "teachable" to someone who can't already do them. The third, throwing, is a little more difficult to do. But that's okay, because Brodie Smith is here to help with that! Brodie Smith is an incredible Ultimate Frisbee player who has won two Ultimate Championships at both the College level and the National club level. He also played in the AUDL (American Ultimate Disc League) for multiple professional teams and is a world famous trick shot performer. "What's a Fall Tournament?" This past weekend, the SUNY Fredonia Club Ultimate Frisbee team traveled to it's second tournament this fall semester at Fort Niagara State park. This tournament, held by the University of Buffalo Ultimate alumni team, was the 27th annual tournament run in honor of the great Theodore Seuss Geisel, more commonly known as Dr. Seuss. This tournament is a perfect example of what a college club Ultimate Frisbee team would call a "Fall Tournament".  Each semester, every college level club team is going to start with the recruitment of some new face to their team. These new members, whether they have prior Frisbee knowledge or not, have probably never been to a college Ultimate Frisbee tournament and therefore never played in one.
